What happened

Carnegie Mellon researchers combined learned models for local object movement with search-based planning over longer sequences. The team reports that LAMP completed multistep, interdependent tasks and adjusted plans using new information from the robots and their environment.

Why it matters

Coordinated planning could help robot teams avoid dead ends while moving objects in crowded facilities. The published evidence is a research demonstration, not an operational warehouse deployment or an independently measured productivity result.
