What happened

The House Communications and Technology Subcommittee held a markup and forwarded the bill to the full Energy and Commerce Committee by voice vote.

What the bill proposes

The bill would require national-security review of certain foreign-produced humanoid and quadruped robotics communications equipment and software for possible placement on the FCC's covered list.

The subcommittee action advances the proposal within the House committee process, but the bill has not passed the House or become law. It has not itself placed robotics products on the FCC covered list.
