The U.S. Army announced six vendor selections for its Infantry Last Tactical Mile initiative on August 11, 2026. The proposed systems are intended to move supplies, support casualty evacuation and extend communications for infantry formations.

The notice names Maren-Go, Overland AI, Forterra, Hendrick’s Motorsports, American Rheinmetall and HDT. At publication, formal awards were still expected in the following weeks. Demonstrations and assessments were planned ahead of an Army-unit operational assessment in early 2027. This source establishes vendor selection and planned evaluation, not a completed production decision or fleet deployment.
