Shanghai forum releases humanoid robot certification rule

CR product certification implementation rule released; no certified humanoid products reported

What happened

The rule sets an evaluation framework covering safety, electromagnetic compatibility, reliability and intelligence, according to the Shanghai Municipal Government. The institute also launched DOME 2.0, a platform for robot data, training and testing. The government report cites earlier CR certifications across robot makers, but does not identify a humanoid certified under this new rule or publish results from DOME 2.0.

Why it matters

The release gives assessors a framework for evaluating complete humanoid products. It is a certification implementation rule within the CR system, not a newly enacted law or a national humanoid standard, and its release does not establish any product’s tested performance.
