What happened

The companies began a three-day public livestream from stores in Wenling, Shanghai and Wuxi, where X2 robots greet customers, ask about needs, explain products and hand promotions, inventory questions and transactions to staff. AGIBOT says the wider rollout spans flagship stores, hypermarkets, community events and retail service hubs.

Why it matters

The rollout moves humanoids into active stores rather than a one-off stage demonstration. The deployment count, operating claims and examples come from AGIBOT; no independent measures of uptime, recommendation quality, completed sales or customer outcomes were identified in this review.
